Studio Program

Our 4-week Studio Art Programs are designed to build technical skills and introduce students to high-quality art materials. Each month features a new artistic medium, allowing for focused exploration and skill development. Through a thoughtfully sequenced curriculum, students will not only strengthen their artistic abilities but also build meaningful connections with their peers in a creative and supportive environment.

Arts of The World

Our 4-week Arts of the World Program introduces students to the rich traditions and symbolism found in Indigenous and global art forms through hands-on projects.  Along the way, they’ll learn the cultural significance behind each art form while developing creative skills, self-expression, and a deeper appreciation for diverse traditions—all while bringing home meaningful, handmade creations.

Mural Painting

Our 4-week Mural Painting Program invites young artists to collaborate on creating a large-scale artwork that represents their voices, ideas, and community. Students will learn the cultural and social significance of murals, work together to design a meaningful concept, and bring it to life through hands-on painting. By the end of the program, students will have gained valuable skills in collaboration and visual communication, while proudly completing a mural that reflects their shared vision.

FAQs

What’s the difference between this program and your free workshops?

Our free workshops are one-time sessions designed to introduce children to art in a fun, accessible way. The Studio Art Program, on the other hand, is a structured 4-week series focused on skill-building, deeper exploration of a specific medium, and use of high-quality materials. It’s ideal for children who want to grow their artistic abilities in a consistent, supportive environment.

What age group is this program designed for?

This program is open to children ages 5–13, with sessions divided by age to ensure developmentally appropriate instruction and peer connection.

Do students need any prior art experience to join?

Not at all! The program is designed for all levels—whether your child is just beginning or already loves the medium we’re working with, they’ll find both guidance and inspiration.

Will each month feature a new medium? Can my child sign up for multiple sessions?

Yes! Every month focuses on a different medium—such as painting, sculpture, or drawing—so your child can continue exploring new techniques and materials. Families are welcome (and encouraged!) to sign up for multiple sessions throughout the year.

What materials are included in the program fee?

All art materials are included in the $140 fee. Students will get to use professional-grade supplies and take home all their artwork.

How is this program structured differently than your drop-in classes?

Unlike drop-in classes, this program follows a sequenced curriculum that builds week-to-week. Each session builds on the last, allowing students to develop techniques and complete more refined projects over time.

Who teaches the classes, and what are their qualifications?

Our instructors are experienced teaching artists who specialize in working with children. Many hold degrees in art or education and are passionate about nurturing creativity and confidence in young learners. Each 4-week session will be taught by the same instructor which will allow for consistency.
